dad and i went to Chicago- we were there for a business seminar- basically a restaurant managing seminar-- a lot of good information- it was good to finally be in chicago, even if it was just for 4 days---
i love eating out, i love seeing the different menus, tasting the different foods, feeling the textures in my mouth, smelling the yummy scents-- i love food
we went to four great places to eat, our fist dinner in Chicago= uncle julios; Mexican food. it was good!! i had a chile relleno, chicken taco, and pork burrito... i was stuffed! excellent service, a lot of fun!
dinner the next night was an Italian restaurant, calming to be the oldest in Chicago-- a really nice set up, it was a hoping place! not only was it in the heart of the tallest buildings, it was defiantly a favorite of many! i had a lemon chicken- the sauce it was in was perfect, it had the lemon flavor, but the texture of the sauce had the consistency of an alfredo sauce-- really good---
for lunch the next day we found Panera Bread co. top on my list--- i had a veggie medditrainian sandwich. and of course desert! i had a pineapple upside down bunt cake- YUM, and also a shortbread cookie!!
dinner the last night was in a super cute/quaint town= Glenco, Ill. we ate at Frank and Betsies!!! it was very Italian, i had a chicken breast with portabello mushrooms, and swiss cheese. the sauce was incredible! also a side of steamed veggies, carrots squash and zuchini, and yes, i ate all my veggies! also a small helping of very light and fluffy rice- it was floating in my mouth- it was the best- dad and i ended the meal with chocolate truffles and i took a peice of their famous "no flour chocolate cake" home- what a meal! it was in the perfect area, wonderful weather--- it was great
the weather the whole time was perfect--- not too cold at all, but all the locals said Chicago was an unusual 15 degrees higher than normal--- so it was great--
dad and i had time to visit lake michigan, i even stuck a finger in the mossy lake-- it took some convincing- but dad said i needed to--- we also took a road trip up to Wisconsin! we basically took pictures of the "welcome to Wisconsin" signs and turned around! but it was fun---
anyway it was a lot of fun, we learned some interesting things in our seminar, so yep!!!
someday ill defiantly be living there! there is no stopping me!

Big Tex[as]
mom, dad, michael and i went to texas!
we were in texas from the 19th - 25th!
we were helping out with a display for the State Fair of Texas!
our friend Paul (i call him Uncle Paul)does Garden/Train Displays. so this year his company Applied Imagination did a display around 'Big Tex'!!! right in the center of the state fair!
mom, michael and i helped fix up the small houses! they didnt get too much damage, just a little ware and tare from the trip from kentucky-- so we worked with the glue guns mostly.
for our lunch breaks we went to the South Dallas Cafe-- defiantly our favorite!!! we went most every day for lunch! it was right by the fair park- we had some really good southern cookin-
here i am with 'Big Tex' before they put him up--- he is HUGE!!!
here is a pic of 'Big Tex' he stands 52 feet high!! he has real Dickies denim jeans, and a 75 gallon cowboy hat!
with our display around him, it looked like it was his little toy trains! it was really cool!!
we usually finished work about 3ish or so, and we would have time to go back and shower, take a small rest, go to dinner and some sightseeing!
here are some pics that i liked the most of our display:
ENJOY!!!

too long
it has indeed been too long since my last post---
not many things have happened--- other than mikey and i are now going to SLC for our internships instead of Chicago-
and i am terrified!!! i dont want to make any more decisions!!
i would really appreciate it if someone would make up my mind--
i am a bit upset that i wont be able to live in beautiful Chicago- but perhaps later on in life--
i am right in the middle of my "2 weeks straight" of work-- and yes, i am getting sick of it-- well, not work so much, mostly the fact that some of the gals at work seem to have gotten in the habbit of not showing up then are using the excues of.."cant find a babysitter" "i didnt know i worked" and whatnot---- leaving 2 of us to take care of all the customers, and CLEAN the whole place by our selves--- it is very frustrating--- especially when there isnt much i can do except be the one to get the extra cleaning dumped on--- its lameo-
my compy is being very slow right now, its about 3 words behind-- im getting sick of waiting for it to catch up- i am moving all my music-so its being picky and slow---
yea thats enough--
