ohh my goodness - i love orlando- a lot. it is one of my favorites!

due to health reasons, and a random roommate mis-hap, i will be coming back to utah for a month... but dont you fret, florida is still calling my name!!! i'll be back soon!

i still have a lot to accomplish here in florida, im not sure all what it is. but know im not done here yet.

of course i want to get a seasonal pass to WDW, and i want to go to the beach, and i want to eat at Moe's, and i want to go to Universals Harry Potter World...

anyway, i am excited to take december off and spend time with family- but i will miss my friends i have made here in florida. its just a short getaway though, nice and fast- i'll be back in florida before anyone even notices i am gone :)

(side note: right now it is 81* in florida, and just a few hours ago mom said it was 17 * in utah-- eeep! i dont want to freeze!!!)

Trevor and i moved into our 2 bedroom apt nov 1st. and things are going just swimmingly :)

i really enjoy my job at Infusion Tea. i wish i didn't work 6 days a week only 5 hours shifts though... i would really like to combine them so i have more time to do other things. I did get the job at Joes Crab Shack. its a brand new one they are in the process of building- so December is when i can start that job- i am very excited for it!!! my roomie Trevor and our friend Troy also got jobs there- so that could be fun-

so overall my plan of attack for finding a job worked... out of applying to 3 jobs (Joes, Tea place & Disney) in orlando, i got hired at 2 pretty much on the spot-

i have applied at Disney(of course :) ) but have yet to hear anything- which makes me a bit sad--- but i will keep trying- even seasonal there would be nice-

i was able to go to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and had a GREAT time!!! i went by myself and wouldnt have had it any other way (well maybe my family, or my disney gang, and becky of couse would have been nice!!!) ! i went a bit early so i could see a few of my favorite resorts! i really do love disney, it was everything that i remembered!!

i have found a carwash, but have yet to use it-

i have found a big.O (tire kingdom), but have yet to use it-

i need to go grocery shopping, but have yet to do it-

we have a PO BOX :) its quite a drive away, but its WAY cheaper than the one close by---

the one we are using is about 15 min away and was 22$ for 6 months... the one thats 3 min away was 26$ per month--- yeah, i think we made the right choice :)

so far i havent got a paycheck yet because of when i started and the times they do checks.. so the past few weeks have been VERY tricky, but i have survived- needless to say, my next paycheck will come in handy!!!

so thats just a random blurb of whats going on-

it has been a bit chilly the past few days, about 50 degrees- (i didnt say freezing, i said chilly) i am hoping for a visit from my family and hopefully some friends!!!

things are looking up

last week at a glance: My First Week in ORLANDO

Monday: Celeste and i arrived in orlando in a timely fashion - we searched for where i would be living- found it just as it was getting dark- we had dinner at mimi's and made a quick stop to Target before we called it a night-

Tuesday: woke up and got ready for the day- walked around the mall, had early lunch at Panera Bread, took another trip to Target and dropped Celeste off at the airport - when i got back home i met Trevor, we went out for lunch(yes, i had 2 lunches that day) then did a bit of grocery shopping at Publix- we drove around International Drive, and got a bit lost- but found our way back home-

Wednesday: drove around, saw our new apt(we move in nov 1)got a bit more familar with the area, had a late lunch @ Bahama Breeze

Thursday: interview day - applied&interviewed at Joes Crab Shack - then open interview at Infusion Tea - Infusion Tea called me back 4 hours later to let me know i got the job- we drove around Downtown Orlando for a while- Trevor and I ate dinner at a really cool Mexican place close by my work-

Friday: went to work to fill out paperwork at 10am - came home and just relaxed by the pool- Trevor brought home pizza for dinner-

Saturday: LAZY DAY - i did nothing, not a single thing- didnt leave the house once :)

Sunday: bought black shirts for work- went to DTD, possibly cried because i love disney soooo much, ate lunch at Earl of Sandwich -

TODAY: its 10AM - im ready for the day, anticipating 5pm.. thats when i work- im leaving here at 4pm. im not sure how traffic will be but it takes about 45 min to get to work from where i live right now- it will save me 20 when we get into our new apt- im not sure what i'm doing after work- hopefully something will come up-

EXTRAS:

• right now we are staying in his aunts vacation home till ours is ready- this one has 3 bedrooms, and a private pool- its quite nice!!
• our new apt is closer to everything- its just a 2 bedroom, so we dont have to find a 3rd roomie, we will each get our own bedroom and bathroom, no private pool, but there arent as many kids at that location-
• i still need to find somewhere to wash my car-
• i dont know how much longer i can handle not having access to WDW- i might have to break down and dip into my savings to get a year pass-
• i hope i make some friends at work-

overall i love it here- i think i will continue to be very pleased!

its good to be home

so we made it!!! after a long 4 day drive from Utah to Florida, Celeste and i arrived in one piece!

my adventure time

what time is it? Adventure Time!!!

i am getting ready to start my new adventure!

i am moving to Orlando Florida!

i will be living in Orlando for at least 6 months, longer if everything works out-

Celeste will be driving out with me on the 6th of October. we have it all planned out where to stop, where to stay and all that planning stuff- i am ready to be in Orlando already!

i have a place to stay all lined up - its furnished, so i dont have to worry about taking too much of my stuff!

i will be having 2 roomates. i get my own room but will be sharing a bathroom- it's a gated community, plenty of parking and in a really safe location.

our place is at an amazing location, we are about:

• 20 min away from disney
• 15 min away from the airport
• 15 min away from my old apt at Chattham
• 20 min away from target
• 1hour 10min from cocoa beach

let the countdown begin!

i am so ready for this adventure!!!!

the good times are killing me

so last night we, (LB, Michael C, Buddy John & I) got to see Modest Mouse

Twilight concert Series 2010- Free, Every thrusday, Pioneer Park....

anyway, Modest Mouse is one of my most favorite bands.. (along side with of Montreal!!!) i have always wanted to see them live. so woot for finally being able to!!!

Modest Mouse played a 2 hour set! it was great!

Buddy John guesses there were at least 6000 people there.. it was jammed packed!!

after the show Buddy John, LB and Friend Ryan went to eat, then home.. LB and i got home at 2am.

today is the last day of our catering the Handcart pageant. i really enjoy doing this type of work. its somewhat similar to serving people, but different still, a much faster paced job. i am ready for it to be done, yet sad that it prob wont happen again.

overall i have been a bit bummed out lately. but my buddy Tyler came for a quick visit and we had such a good time! we played almost every night! we went camping, a few late night walmart trips... we really all had a good time. tyler is now in Hawaii.. and i miss him...

i have been thinking about Orlando a lot lately, not just visiting either... moving there. working there. living there. i have applied to WDW and i hope i get accepted.

i have chosen Orlando because its far away from a certain boy whose name starts with a B and ends with an Enjamin. (everytime i go to SLC all i worry about is seeing Benjamin and the girl. SLC is their territory.... my stomach just turns and aches!!!)

i also chose Orlando because i have lived there before, i am fairly certain i can get a job at WDW again, and i am ready to live on my own again, and i know i can make a lot of friends there.

its just too lonley and sad in nephi. there are people here that are my age, but they are all marriend and have kids... and the younger ones are all still in HS... i am almost 25... so its a bit awkward.. i feel like the chaperon.

so thats whats been on my mind lately. i really am not too bummed out, just extra lonley...

Benjamin: for those of you who dont know, Benjamin is my Boyfriend. i like him a lot. a lot a lot. for some strange reason, we really have no pictures of us together.. but thats ok, i am a patient gal. i have been spending a lot of my free time with Benjamin, and when i say a lot of my free time, i mean all of my free time... i really enjoy his company! Benjamin lives in Sandy, its only about one hour away, so really its not that bad. so yep, thats Benjamin, he is such a sweetheart! i like him a lot.

Passion Pit: Thursday April 8th, Benjamin, Celeste and i went to a Passion Pit Show.. AMAZING! i love it!!!

that is one of my favorite Passion Pit songs, Sleepyhead. their music is nice and dancey.. perfect! i had such a good time at their show!

Mikey's Birthday party: mikey turned 22 on the 15th, we celebrated his birthday Fiesta style at their new Casa... mike and stacy know how to throw a good party with GREAT food! complete with pineapple salsa, yummy beans and rice and also some Carrot birthday cake (duck form of course!).

at the party we were even graced with the presence of a special guest with the last name of Westfall... i dont think i need to say much more other than perhaps give a shout out to Maggie Matrix and anyone who knows anything about Anime. HOLLA!

Palm Pre Plus: Celeste and i both have matching new phones! i love my phone so much! it's perfect for me. it syncs to Google Calander, i have easy access to Facebook, Twitter and the interhighway. it stores the text messgages in conversation format, which i love!!! horray for new phones!!!

Egg-celent Easter Weekend

i love my family's traditions! Egg-specially(HA) our easter traditions!

we celebrated Easter on Saturday this year due to work. the Easter Bunny brought me a bright pink jump rope and some easter treats! the easter bunny also brought silly animal hats for everyone-

after coloring our easter eggs, we had Easter Feast, then proceeded outside to let the traditions begin!!!

forever ago, we used to roll our easter eggs down a hill.. i'm not sure why that was fun or why we did it..but we stopped that forever ago.

now instead we launch our eggs... we get a big sling shot thingy and let the eggs fly... of course it was amazing!!! and because we skipped out on blowing up our gingerbread houses for new years this year(again, due to work) we decided to blow up our houses this holiday too.

after the festivities, Benjamin and i watched movies, took a walk and went to the Restaurant for dinner. nice.

April Foolery

i am not a fan of April Fools.

right now it is snowing... i keep looking out the window in hopes of seeing God when he jumps out and says "April Fools". so far he hasn't shown his face yet- but its a mean April Fools joke if you ask me.

i dont have any pranks planned, other than the usual awesome ones:

a weekend with Becky-Sue!

my bestest-best friend Becky came up from st.g to spend the weekend with me! we had a blast!

Becky arrived on Friday night, via St.G shuttle. we treated ourselves to some YUMMY Jc Mickelson's Restaurant Prime Rib in celebration of being hungry and being together.

on Saturday, we went up to the Color Festival. after we cleaned up, becky did sister Celeste's hair for Jr.Prom. becky did such a good job on it! Celeste looked Beautiful!!!

Sunday was a relaxing day, we took it easy... not too much going on- we found a bunch of music, and planned a bit for our future trip to Europe. my friend Benjamin came down and got to meet the whole fam. we finished the relaxing day watching Wall-E & Up. excellent!

Monday was set aside to spend the whole day in SLC. after we woke up and got ready for the day, we headed up for some excellent Zupas :) we made our way to Thanksgiving Point to peruse the shops. we got a phone call telling us that the Devendra concert for that night had been cancelled due to his broken leg. after complaining a bit, we called Benjamin and luckily he stepped in as entertainer for the night. we went to see Sherlock Holmes then finished the night with some Butter Pecan Ice cream (a possible new favorite).

Tuesday is right now, and so far its great. we are enjoying the last of being lazy before we both return to work. today is the start to my crazy work schedule.

i just love spending time with my becky-sue. i miss our st.g days when we were always spending time together- maybe someday we will live close together again..and of course our business!!! :)

Holi - Festival of Colors

Becky and i went to the Hara Krishna Color Festival this saturday- we had such a great time! we met Laura, Hillary and Khiah!

• bandanna to cover mouth is a must!
• glasses (preferably not everyday glasses) are also recommended.
• dont go too powder crazy at first! save some till the end!

• most people wore white shirts, but after the colors were in the air you couldnt tell anymore.
• there were 2 sessions, 12&4, we choose the noon.
• although the actual color throwing started at 1, we arrived at 11..perhaps a bit too early, but good timing for the shuttle and whatnot--

bad dreams:

i absolutely hate having bad dreams... but whats worse, is when you just cant go to sleep after one.

yep you guessed it, i just woke up to a bad dream.

My Dream:

i was at work, it was the same building, but the table layout was different. i was working with the same people that i work with in real life, in fact, mom and dad were there too.

i started taking tables, got a 2 top, then a 5 top.... they just kept coming... more and more tables, finally my section was jam packed! i was having a difficult time keeping up.

i asked my mom for help, but she was in the back making drinks and taking them to the other side of the restaurant.

all the sudden i started to notice the guests, the gal at the 2 top used to work here,i don't remember her but i have heard about her and she still had her name tag on. but it didn't phase her that it was crazy busy and she kept asking for things she didn't need. the 5 top was a bunch of regulars, and same thing, just expected that because it was them, they deserved all of my attention, and kept telling me lame stories making it hard to get away, even though i had a million things to do.

it was really busy at this point, i remember running back into the kitchen for extra mayo and extra gravy at times.

then my guests started to disappear ... they even disappeared off of my table taking device... then the other gal who i worked with kept coming over and taking care of my guests.... she had her section completely full but was able to take some of my tables because i couldn't keep up. i looked over to a table where a 10 top was, their food was there, but they were not... finally my mom came over to help me and told me that the 10 wanted their waitress to pay more attention to them so they went to the other side.

i was filling up water pitchers and talking to my mom about how im not doing so well tonight and then asked if she knew what i was doing wrong, perhaps a reason to why i couldn't even handle my tables yet the other gal could handle her side and mine combined... mom said that the tables just didn't like me tonight, and that were very upset at how badly i handled taking tables.

finally i decided to call my aunt to come help and she started making up some random excuses as to why she didn't want to come...

then i woke up.

for those of you who don't know, i am a waitress at family's restaurant. i have been waiting tables for about 3 years now.(i am also the service staff manager :) )

so generally, since i'm a grown up now, my bad dreams start with "i was at work". work is stressful! a lot of crazy things happen! we deal with peoples emotions, and try to move them in the happier/ 'glad they choose us' state. and as we all know: people (guests) are crazy!!

so about this dream, perhaps some of you may be able to relate, but not quite in the same way... the phrase 'Bad Dream' has so many different interpretations.

so a lot of things in my dream can come true, they are very realistic things that sometimes happen...

in my eyes, thats what makes a bad dream: one where it's hard to decipher dream time from reality.

California Classes

i have had a pretty good month- a lot of good things have happened. I feel a lot more focused, present and ready for whatever might come my way.

i think these good feelings are due to my monthly energy class in california. also, i have been taking fish oil(thankfully no fishy burps(yet)). ohh yes, and 5htp, to keep my brain sharp...

the once a month california visit is quite enjoyable. my mom and dad take the class the day before mine. so generally we fly/drive out together.

my favorite part of the california trip is visiting the Olsons (my cousins). i really like spending time with them. we dont always get to see them each month, but i like it when we do!

so our classes are held in the Berkeley area, we usually fly into Oakland and stay in a hotel by the airport.

Things i have yet to do in the Bay Area:

• take BART... anywhere!
• visit San Francisco
• explore the area while my parents are in their class
• drive... although i would rather not, im sure i will need to someday, i dont want to drive in CA...
• eat at super cool places, my family tends to get into food habits, we have 3 food places, and we eat each meal there the whole time we visit.. the places are great! but its always good to mix things up a bit.

i am sure there are many more things i can do and want to do , but for now thats whats on my mind.

so all this talk about my california energy class... perhaps your wondering what it's all about... its an energy class, we have learned about the 7 Chakras, we learn about ways to move energy through the body, different energy types that people run.. we learn about all sorts of stuff.. this class is a 2 year(minimum) commitment, but i think can go up to 7 years, maybe even more!

anyway, i have really enjoyed being in this class and learning more about everything! i think i am growing and changing in such good ways! infact, i know i am!!! things are changing! i feel different! i feel more responsible, alert and more aware of what is going on with and around me. i feel like i can handle so much more, and i am finally realizing that life is just life, events are just events, good or bad, they all happen, and if we can take the good out of everything and learn something from it, then thats great!!!

so im looking forward to march's class. i am ready to learn more. california class, here i come!!!

why not...its 2010

for some reason i chose to only blog 5 times in the year 2009... hmmm, not sure why. guess i just got a bit lazy. ohh well... why not start up again..right?!

well, i think this is could be the reason i put a pause on the blogging... i have sat here for about 15 min now, trying to decide of what to say... how to say it... should i be witty... should i start with a joke? im not too sure... ohh well. i guess rambling isn't a bad

thing... i do enjoy the occasional ramble.

did you know i bought a Toyota Prius? its charcoal grey(not black) and i love it! (and also, its mine!) i got it October 28, 2009!!!believe it or not i was NOT shunned from the Mickelson family for buying a prius thats not Black... its also got tinted windows which i think helped ease the acceptance of the off color to the family...(incase you dont know, we currently have 3 prius's's's in our garage. 2 of them are black and my charcoal grey one..nice eh?)

hmm, what else happened? ohh yea, i went on 2 cruises this year... yep.. 2.... first one with Boyfriend, to celebrate my 24th birthday on the 24th of A

ugust, and also in celebration of his College Graduation!!!! we had such a great time being lazy and enjoying room service!

the second cruise was with my mom. just celebrating us having enough cash to spend on a cruise. we had a great time though! we even got a wrap balcony

had our own lounge chair out there! it was perfect! we enjoyed seeing some of the Myan Ruins and relaxing on the beach!

ohh yes, i also started taking Energy class in California, its a 2 year class, we meet once a month for a day class in Berkely California.. i am having a great time and learning lots! my favorite part of california class is visiting the Olsons once a month, even if its just for dinner. i also like the excuse to travel each month!

i have been really really really missing WDW lately... i really want to go...extra bad! im hoping to get enough coins in my jar so i can go with bryan.. i have been feeding my craving by planning out random WDW trips.... i have yet to take any, but they are indeed planned.. perhaps even more than they should be.

• i have a 2 people, 5 day parks 8 day trip(the extra days are for exploring the great Disney resorts!).... complete with where to eat, and how much cash to bring along each day...(this packet is perfect for those who have been to the parks, love them all!and are looking to spend more time at disney without too much more money)
• family of 5, 5 day park 6 day trip. staying in condos rather than on site.... the comfort of your own house, and car but the joy of disney for the whole family

perhaps ill be a disney planner when i grow up... wait a minute.. ill be 25 this year... ugh.. does that mean i need to plan something fun to do?? isnt age 25 one of those years that everyone just celebrates?!?!? ok people i need ideas!!! what did you do(or are planning on doing) for your 25th bday?

Stacy and Michael have been living with us since they got married and now we have a Miles in the house too! he is prob my best friend lately... he is just starting to grow 2 bottom teeth. how cute.. he is a good boy and loves ALL the attention he gets from the whole Mickelson family.. he most usually greets me with a smile and the occasional laugh.. he is also an August birthday... so thats exciting. i enjoy his company and i hope he enjoys mine as well. i regret not having any recent pictures of Miles and me.. but perhaps soon.. no promises.
